[Accidental Voice/Action for Hospital][

[The first time Conan wakes up, it is to a very familiar pain. Like his very bones were melting and reforming. He bites back a scream and falls unconscious again after only a few seconds..

The second time Conan wakes up he pushes himself up into a seated position and gropes for his glasses. Instead he accidentally knocks his communicator onto the floor as he reaches much too far, overbalancing and falling out of bed with a loud crash. After a stunned moment he sits back up and stares at himself in shock. He was in his real body.]

How? The last thing I remember...

[He cuts himself off, both in surprise at his own voice and at the memory. He shouldn't have survived that. He'd been able to calculate exactly what his captors' intentions had been, and there was no way he could have escaped from it without injury.

Shinichi stands up, hastily wrapping the sheet around himself, and strives to form a plan. First, he needed information. He needed to know where he was and what had happened. And he needed to get in contact with Hattori and Ran. Were they okay?

...Also, he needed clothes. Whatever this location was, the thin sheet he'd located was not nearly enough to ward off the chill.

So, information first. He reaches for the communicator and begins to compose a text message using the highest security he could think of. After a moment of thought he encodes it for the added security.]

[Locked 60% to Hattori]

[Message sent, he stands up and wraps the sheet tightly around himself before making his way to the door.]

Well that depends really, what exactly are you hoping for an explanation of?

A crumbling city in the world of Fortuna. Although I must admit, they usually give more than just a sheet to new arrivals. Maybe they don't like you.

Neither of those locations are familiar to me. I take it I am no longer within Japan.

It is most likely part of a dehumanization or dissociation attempt on the part of the culprits. Deprival of such items as clothes or familiar objects can have a significant effect on the minds of captives. Judging by the fact that I have no memory of the method of my arrival, I must deduct that this is a kidnapping of some sort.

I don't suppose you could direct me to where I could find some clothing. A single sheet isn't much protection against the chill.

Well you're rather calm about all this, impressive. As to some clothing... that all depends upon which part of the city you are in.

Ah, another detective... this place seems to bustle with quite a large number of you lot. Just no decent law enforcement.

There's another detective here? Do you know his name? [Once again, Shinichi's acting practice as Conan comes in handy.]

I looked. The closets in this room are empty. I was about to go out to search some of the other rooms.

Hmm... well Kaito was the one that told me... let me think there was someone named Heji I believe... then there was that inspector gadget fellow... and I believe there was that boy Conan too.

[Tread carefully Shinichi, Haer'Dalis is a professional actor, and usually knows one when he sees one. It's impossible to say whether he's playing along, or honestly believes Shinichi is new to the place.]

Well if you like I might be able to bring something by for you. I happen to have some spare clothes, and I'd hate for you to have to run around like that.

Hattori Heiji? Then Conan would be the kid in glasses, of course. They're both friends.

[Shinichi had never claimed to be a great actor. That he had always left to his mother. But playing the part of Kudo Shinichi, detective, was simple. It was the role he had created for himself, to make the police and authorities listen to a teenager.]

Ah, so you know both of them? I suppose the explains a bit why there's so many detective here, you're all friends from the same world huh?

[Haer'Dalis merely shrugged. He was letting his suspicions after the whole doppelganger even get away with him. He could tell from the way this young man said it that he was telling the truth about knowing that Conan and Heiji were friends. There was something he couldn't quite put his finger on, but he decided to worry about it another time.]

Don't worry I'll be by in just a bit, although I hope you don't mind about colors, because I have a quite colorful set of clothes as a bard.

[Haer'Dalis is already on his way out the door, and in a few moments ~~conan~~ shinichi should be able to hear his foot steps, and a jingle like thousands of coins in someone's pocket, down the hall, as he's trying to find which room he's in.]

Conan is my distant relative. And I've worked with Hattori many times before.

Not at all. At this point I'd gladly accept anything that was warm.

[He opens the door and peers out into the hallway at the sound.]

[What was making Haer'Dalis jingle so much became evident soon enough when spotted. Haer'Dalis is wearing a suit of green chainmail armor and he bring his head out of a different doorway, spotting the young man.]

Ah! There you are. You're in luck by the way, I fond something that may look slightly less ridiculous on you.

I thought I'd be kind enough to let you choose.

[He raises an eyebrow at the colorful outfit and the chainmail. He'd worn absurd outfits before, but he couldn't help but be relieved that he wouldn't be forced into anything that... bright. His own taste in clothing ran more towards subdued casual suits or comfortable sweatshirts.]

My thanks. I suppose I can handle dressing as a doctor for a few days.

[To Haer'Dalis credit, the clothes he was wearing underneath the chainmail looked slightly more ordinary than what he was offering Shinichi. It's just that that's what Haer'Dalis had spares of.]

Or at least until you find some friends who might be able to get you clothes more to your liking right? Friends like Heiji? But I think the doctor's clothes might actually suit you.

Perhaps. I'll have to get in contact with him and get a batter idea of the situation here. That should more than suffice.

Ah, well then I should inform you of that as well now shouldn't I? If you have magical abilities or supernatural powers of some sort, the ones responsible for your 'kidnapping' have placed a chip inside of you to suppress them. I have no idea if this will really effect you or not, but I know that I've wanted mine out for a while.
