[The first time Conan wakes up, it is to a very familiar pain. Like his very bones were melting and reforming. He bites back a scream and falls unconscious again after only a few seconds..

The second time Conan wakes up he pushes himself up into a seated position and gropes for his glasses. Instead he accidentally knocks his communicator onto the floor as he reaches much too far, overbalancing and falling out of bed with a loud crash. After a stunned moment he sits back up and stares at himself in shock. He was in his real body.]

How? The last thing I remember...

[He cuts himself off, both in surprise at his own voice and at the memory. He shouldn't have survived that. He'd been able to calculate exactly what his captors' intentions had been, and there was no way he could have escaped from it without injury.

Shinichi stands up, hastily wrapping the sheet around himself, and strives to form a plan. First, he needed information. He needed to know where he was and what had happened. And he needed to get in contact with Hattori and Ran. Were they okay?

...Also, he needed clothes. Whatever this location was, the thin sheet he'd located was not nearly enough to ward off the chill.

So, information first. He reaches for the communicator and begins to compose a text message using the highest security he could think of. After a moment of thought he encodes it for the added security.]

[Message sent, he stands up and wraps the sheet tightly around himself before making his way to the door.]

Some of them are here. I spoke to Luke and some others. But Kazuha wasn't in any of the rooms I checked.

Think th' others might be someone in town?

Everyone I spoke to was involved in one of the incidents. it doesn't seem to matter where they were located before. They were all sent to this hospital.

Which floors have ya checked?

[Shinichi observed his condition with worry. Obviously, Hattori was not doing as well as he'd claimed.]

First through fourth. I still have the basement and the upper floors left.

Then we better check the remainin' floors.

I'll meet you there in ten minutes.

[He'll arrive there several minutes early.]

[Shinichi will start checking the rooms across the hallway. It would save time if they split up to look through different rooms.]

[Kazuha had only come to a couple minutes earlier and was trying to figure out what had happened and where she was now. She definitely did not recognize this place, but it looked like a hospital. And she was still trying to get her wits about her, she felt like she'd been asleep for a long time or something.

She jumped when she heard the door open, expecting to see whoever had taken her captive. She blinked in surprise at who it was, however.]

[Shinichi steps away from the door he'd been about to open and makes his way toward Kazuha's room.]

[She was still feeling pretty disoriented and looked it, too.]

I don't think I am. But what's goin' on? Where are we?

Yer in th' hospital in Discedo. It seems all th' victims are discarded here. It's been eleven days. Do ya remember anythin'?

[Shinichi leans up against the wall just outside and listens quietly.]

E-Eleven days?! [She thought she was lost before... What...?]

I just remember it felt like somebody grabbed me. An' now I'm here. What did ya mean by "victims"?

There was several who were abducted.
