[This entire situation was completely illogical.  He'd seen the murders and he suicides in that other place, before all of his memories simply stopped.  And now it was like none of that had ever happened.  How was it possible?  How had they pulled off that trick?

Erm..even knowing what sort of ball you're looking for, I don't know where you could find it.

[Conan himself was angry, both at the people responsible for the whole affair and at all the idiots who had gone along with it. But it was an adult anger, and so he could not show it. Better to hold it until he could direct it at the proper targets.]

The monsters everyone keeps talking about? As for that, I have yet to see any evidence that they actually exist as anything more than a trick designed to keep us within this city.

It's simple. You divide into two teams, each with a goal. To score, one team must kick the ball into the other team's goal. But the trick is, you can never use your hands to move the ball. Only the goalie can use their hands.
