Fifth Deduction [Voice]

Tomorrow is May 4, isn't it?  I feel like there is something about that date I should be remembering.

Something important.

....This is frustrating!  What is it?

Its just a day, you know. It doesn't matter.

Well...yeah it is just a day. But it's the day you were born, and that's special enough to do something for, isn't it? Your friends can celebrate that they get to be your friends--they couldn't be your friend if you didn't have a birthday, after all!

I think that's reason enough to do something a little bit special, even if it's just small.

[Really its just a reminder. I already had this birthday before. Ran was always the only one who insisted on celebrating it.

...She's probably worried over me. She always worries.
]

With the situation as it is, there doesn't really seem a point to doing anything.

If you really don't want to do anything, then I won't try and make you...that wouldn't be very nice.

But...if you change your mind, let me know! I'd be happy to do something for your birthday tomorrow! Or maybe just do something tomorrow just because it's Wednesday.

[Conan chuckles a little to himself. So friendly. This Luke reminded him a little of the Detective Boys.]

I don't like making a fuss. But thank you.

[He would still hold out hope that Conan would change his mind, but he knew better than to force birthday celebrations on anyone.]

Just don't tell Flora. She'd want to cook for you. She always means well, but her cooking is really--I mean, it's not very nice to just tell people--but her cooking is really awful.

Not the awful where it tastes bad, the awful where you get sick. That would not be a very nice birthday present, even if she meant well.

...Thanks for the warning. That sounds a little like Aunt Eri's cooking skills.

She means well, she always does..

The last time she cooked for us and we just ate it, I was sick for almost two days. She's forgotten. I haven't.

[identity profile] modernholmes.livejournal.com 2011-05-08 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Oi, that does sound like bad cooking.

[identity profile] luke-triton.livejournal.com 2011-05-08 08:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I think I've seen some of her creations move.

[identity profile] modernholmes.livejournal.com 2011-05-08 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)
[Conan is definitely amused now.]

That mus have been interesting to watch.

I'm serious. Don't look at me like that--I wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't my imagination considering how dangerous her food can be.
