Seventh Deduction [Voice]

[This place....  He recognized it.  But how?  How could he have been brought here again?  And how could he have forgotten it all these months?  He takes up the communicator and looks it over skeptically, wondering if the people he had known here before were still here, and switches it over to audio.  But before he can say anything the teen detective is overcome by another attack.  He clutches at his chest and breathes harshly, staggering over to lean up against a wall.]

[S-so hot.  I feel like my bones are melting.  Will I really change back now?  Will I become Conan again?  Now?  Without a chance to tell her?]

[Shinichi desperately attempts to formulate a plan through the pain.  He couldn't allow himself to change back here.  Not where anyone could find him.  He would be completely vulnerable after the change.  This costume had served him well when he had needed it to hide, but none of his gadgets were with him.  He could only think of one desperate course of action.    Still clutching at his chest as the waves of pulsing pain swept through his body, he slowly raises the communicator to his face and whispers to it in a voice hoarse and strained by pain.]

Hattori?

[But he can say nothing more as the pain suddenly intensifies and he screams.]

[ooc: Conan has been brought back as Shinichi seconds before turning back into Conan.  At about the same time as this clip starts.]

[Shinichi relaxes slightly at the sound of the familiar voice. Hattori was still here. He doesn't try to figure out how Hattori could be here when they had just been walking together in East Okuho. For now the important thing was to get the information across.]

[He clutches at his chest again as a another wave of pain hits. Not yet. He needed to hold the change off just a few seconds longer.]

[And because those few minutes were far too long for him to hold off the change, he'll come out of the alley as Conan. Just dressed in a very familiar looking blue feathered costume. He's rolled the sleeves and pant legs up as far as they would go, and they still hang past his hands and drag along the ground.]

I can tell ya what ya were gonna do next. Ya were teeterin' between stayin' yerself an' changin' back so I took ya ta th' restroom. Even offered my bag fer ya ta hide in so th' others wouldn't find out, but ya managed ta stay as Kudo fer longer than that. An' on th' care trip back there was another case we solved tagether. Durin' th' case ya still risked changin' back th' whole time. This was months ago Kudo.

Don't tell me I have ta go inta detail fer ya ta remember.

If they are doing such a thing, it would be several orders beyond anything that has been developed so far. And it does not explain why I arrived here as Shinichi.

[The only reason he was willing it consider such an explanation at all was the fact that he had not remembered this place until he had arrived here again. That too, was impossible given the current knowledge of the human mind. He takes the clthes and steps back into the alley to change.]

Maybe we haven't been givin' them enough credit.

Aah. If my memories are unreliable and they can replicate the aftermath of that incident to this extent, we have to assume they were watching.

[He steps back out of the alley, buttoning up his sleeves.]

Th' fact that they've been able ta conceal their identities fer this long raises a few flags.

Th' culprits are more organized than we originally thought.



They're really confident on top of that ta allow us as much freedom as they do.

This is rapidly becoming an even bigger case than we thought.it seems more and more likely that it goes beyond any kind of simple kidnapping plot.

I spoke ta th' one known as Knowlton. He made a public broadcast statin' we got longer ranges on these devices.

I couldn't get him ta share anythin' remotely useful. Just "alright" there wasn't much emotion either.
