Conan is a deduction genius and incredibly observant. Like his idol he is capable of performing a Sherlock Scan on people he meets.  Since I certainly don't know all of the canons in this game and since he could possibly bring up things in this way you don't want getting figured out, I put together this short permissions post.

So to help figure out this ability, please answer the following questions for your characters.

<b>1.  What is your character's name and journal?</b> <b>2.  Is it okay for Conan to deduct something about your character's history?  Is there anything you don't want him to figure out?</b> <b>3.  What is your character's physical appearance?  Please include clothing style, hair color, calluses, scars, and anything else that might be visible.</b> <b>4. Does your character have any odd tics or habits? </b> <b>5. Does your character have an accent?</b> <b>6. Does your character have any hobbies that might leave clues on your character's appearance?  For example a character who spent  lot of time writing or drawing might have ink stains on their hands or clothes.  Or a character who  played a lot of a certain sport might have calluses.</b> <b>7. Is there anything else about your character that Conan might be able to deduct?</b>

1. What is your character's name and journal? Himura Kenshin heart0fsword
2. Is it okay for Conan to deduct something about your character's history? Is there anything you don't want him to figure out? I'm fine with anything, however since Tomoe is actually in the game, his fault in her death should be avoided unless the player puts that permission up.
3. What is your character's physical appearance? Please include clothing style, hair color, calluses, scars, and anything else that might be visible. 158 cm/5'2", red hair, violet eyes, Japanese (despite that description), acts like a hapless clutz most of the time, but anyone observant enough will recognize it as an act. He doesn't hide the fact that he's a swordsman (wearing 19th century Japanese clothing and carrying a katana). He is covered in scars, but the most noticeable is, of course, the scar on his left cheek, and of course has the callouses one would expect a swordsman to have on his hands.
4. Does your character have any odd tics or habits? If he is ever heard speaking in Japanese he speaks in a very humble archaic manner and uses the form of I, 'sessha', which translates to 'this unworthy one'. In standard Para!speak he talks in 3rd person, but the archaic speech pattern is not represented. He makes the sound 'oro' a lot... just a random habit that is part of his 'rurouni' act.
5. Does your character have an accent? None was ever described.
6. Does your character have any hobbies that might leave clues on your character's appearance? For example a character who spent lot of time writing or drawing might have ink stains on their hands or clothes. Or a character who played a lot of a certain sport might have calluses. just the sword callouses (and lol the SWORD). Unless someone has some influence on him here, his clothes are old and worn--he practically looks homeless because... he kind of is, what with the ten years of wandering aimlessly.
7. Is there anything else about your character that Conan might be able to deduct? Kenshin fought in the Bakumatsu and is currently from the Meiji Era/Meiji Restoration. He isn't secretive about the later, but he doesn't advertise it either. His clothing, speech and commentary he makes (especially about 'the new era') are the big clues there.

In terms of deducting history, Conan is more likely to deduct general things unless someone specifically asks him to investigate a specific event or question. He'll have no problem figuring out that Kenshin had fought in a war, that he's very accomplished in some discipline of swordfighting, etc. He might be able to connect it to the Bakumatsu eventually, once he actually accepts that people here might be coming from other times. He did solve a case in his canon that was related to the Meiji era. But probably won't be able to make it any more specific than that.
