Fifteenth Deduction [Video/Action for Dissimulo]

[Conan's face appears on the video, obviously worried about something.]

Ne, something scary is happening!  Is everyone okay?  And does anyone know how-

[He breaks off to spin and kick a soccerball straight into a nearby zombie's head, instantly dropping it to the ground.]

Does anyone know how widespread this is? Are they in Discedo?  What about Spero?

[He casts a disappointed look at one of the zombies before running to join Ran. He'd hoped to have time to investigate how they were moving.]

I'm coming!

[He pauses to kick a rock at another zombie as it approached Ran's position.]

[Woah, freezing for a moment as the rock hits that zombie. How'd she miss that one?

Ffff, but she hurries along inside after that, figuring the compliments can come later. The disappointed look on Conan's face does not disappoint her, but she's glad that he's listening. She shuts the door behind them, and--after casting a quick glance out the window, takes some deep breaths to rest.

[He follows her into the room and looks up at her worriedly.]

Mm-hmm! J-Just catching my breath...

[She wipes some sweat from her forehead, but...considering the circumstances, looks pretty pleased she was able to help him out. Still though, her expression turns serious.]

How about you, kiddo? You know it was pretty dangerous of you to hang around out there, y'know.

[He couuuuld've made the broadcast from inside...]

[SIIIGH, yes, she knows, she knows...she did, too.]

Yeah, well...I guess most people are staying inside to try to avoid them...

[She looks outside the window, at the group of the zombies who are still hanging around. Are these the corpses that the scientists were supposed to get rid of...?]

But if we're avoiding them we can't figure out why they're here and how they work. [This makes perfect sense.]

[She turns away from the zombies to look at Conan.]

Why? Do you have some sort of plan to figure them out?

Zombies aren't real, so they must have some sort of device that allows them to move like this. I wanted to see if I could find it.

You mean, you think they're like robots or something?

I guess the scientists could be controlling them...

Not like robots. But maybe something mechanical with limited motion.

Well, we shouldn't get close to them as long as they're aggressive like that... but maybe if they give up, we can go back and take a look at one of their friends we knocked out.

[The idea of looking at something mechanical is much easier to grasp than looking at undead zombies :|]

[She looks kind of relieved to hear that. Conan's usually not so cooperative, ffff.]

It looks like they're moving pretty slowly, at least, so it should be easy for people to outrun them until we get to the bottom of it...

[Or until someone does, anyway. They can't be the only ones trying to figure them out...right?]
