[4th Wall Day]

It's strange isn't it?  That so many people would suddenly be here?  I wonder what the reason could be?

[He wanted to be out there investigating.  There was a possibility this had something to do with how the scientists were able to transport people here.

But... Ran had been very insistent about his promise to stay in bed until his injuries healed.  She would not be happy if he left.

If she caught him.

Casting a wary glance at the door, he carefully throws back the covers and slides out of bed.  He winces slightly as he puts weight on his bad ankle, bu quickly leans against the wall and hobbles over to the window.

Time to get out of here.].

[He sighs and sinks back to the floor. Glad, though he would never admit it, to get the weight off his injured leg.]

On the table by the bed.

All right. [She goes and gets him a glass of water, coming back with the pill in one hand, and the glass in the other.]

You'll need for bandages after this. Where do you keep them?

I keep a medkit under the bed. There should be some there.

[She goes over to the bed, reaches under it, and pulls the kit out.]

All right. You can take the pill now.

[He nods and takes it quickly.]

It may take a few moments for the pill to take effect.

[Wait a sec.] Is anyone from our world here?

Understood. [He waits for the familiar pain to begin.]

Hattori and Ran are both here.

[It should start up relatively soon.]

Hm.....what should we do if she asks questions? Just say that Edogawa-kun left and you came? [But what are the odds of her believing that?]

No matter what I tell her it will cause her pain.

...But such a story is not uncommon here. Kazuha was here, and she is gone now. And she knows that I was here once before and vanished.

[And he cuts off his words with a hiss as the pain begins.]

[She pauses.] She's stronger than you think. Seeing you will definitely bring a smile to her face.

Tooyama-san was here, too?

[She brings her gaze up to him as he hisses. Seeing him go through pain wasn't a joy to her, even if it would help him.]

But she will grieve for me as well.

For several months. She vanished a week ago. Sent home, most likely.

[His sentences come out short and clipped.]

I see. I can understand how Mouri-san must be upset, but she is safer there.

[Shiho tries to guide him to the bathroom. She does NOT want to see anything when he changes back.]

[An hour later he'll step out of the bathroom wearing some of Hattori's spare clothes.]

[She gives him a light smile.] Welcome back, Kudou-kun.

[He gives her a half-smile back.]

It feels good to be back.

[What was this feeling she had.....not accomplishment. More like a sense of completion. It made her feel relieved inside.]

I figured you would be. Now then, I believe the first thing you'll want to do is go find Mouri-san.
