Tenth Deduction [Accidental Voice/Action for Housemates]

[Conan tosses and turns restlessly in his sleep, obviously struggling against a bad dream. All of a sudden he bolts straight up with a half-strangled scream and falls out of bed.  He doesn't even notice his hand knocking his communicator onto the floor.]

RAN!

[He looks around frantically for a moment, then slumps back to the ground.]

Just a dream, is it?  How embarrassing.

[He knew what had brought it on, of course. So many people had been attacked recently.  Some of them close friends.  And... he had been completely useless when Hattori had been attacked.  With this child's body he had been helpless to do anything more than watch over Kazuha and Ran.

He knew better.  Everyone was fine.  But all the same he found that he couldn't resist the urge to check on everyone.  He hastily stands up and begins to silently make his way toward Ran's room.]

[He rubs his eyes, still groggy, but now he's awake so a firm 'go back to sleep' wasn't going to cut it.]

It wasn't a pleasant one. [Conan's voice sounds faintly strained.] But it is nothing to worry about.

It was only a dream. [And one he'd had many times before. He was lucky the old man was such a heavy sleeper.] That's hardly something worth worrying about.

Ran hears that scream loud and clear through the communicator and from down the hall, and aside from hearing her own name, she also recognizes who is screaming it. She's sitting up in bed now, breathing heavily as she grabs her communicator from the nightstand thing beside her.

...well she hadn't been sleeping particularly well, anyway. She didn't mind. ]

C-conan? Was that you?

[ .....she already knows the answer, but, well. Leave her alone, she's like half awake. ]

[She heard that? This was not good. If there was one thing he did not want her worrying over it was his dreams.]

[ ....it would have been pretty hard for her not to hear it, really. She lets out a sigh, though she's not sure if she's relieved at hearing his voice, or more worried, hearing it startled like that. ]

[China had been awake, drinking green tea to help soothe his throat. He could speak properly again, but it was still sore and it hurt if he yelled to much. He jumps slightly in his chair and picks up the gear.]
